I downloaded Ubuntu 19.04 iso through torrent. I used Rufus to make a 32 GB USB bootable with the iso. I wanted more room for Ubuntu during installation, so I disabled some settings and shrank OS partition pass unmovable files thing (that was what I disabled the setting for), also tried to shrink D: recovery partition (I don't remember the exact name of the partition, I just know that it's D:), which I extended after a failed attempt with a 18.04 USB (also downloaded by torrent, which barely even booted). (Note: while using Rufus I have canceled it multiple times as it took too long)

I then restarted the PC via Windows (using Windows 10 32-bit on a 64-bit PC), pressed F12 to open bootloader in BIOS 1.0.13 and selected USB. Selected a language and selected Try Ubuntu 19.04 without installing, worked normally until the loading screen which after a couple of seconds froze. Note that I've booted a 19.04 USB before on this PC with Ethernet.

  • Also for some reason, while using Rufus to make the usb, files explorer opens up, adding in case that has something to do with it. Also during the times the usb booted, there was no wallpaper, just a black wall paper
