Webcam turns on and then off instantly

0

I installed Ubuntu 18.04 alongside Windows recently.

On using the users menu in settings, and trying to take a picture, my webcam turns on and then off instantly, and I get a large red circle with a white line:

enter image description hereenter image description here

Even in Cheese, the same thing happens...
enter image description here

I've tried reducing the resolution of Cheese (as mentioned in Cheese says "There was an error playing video from the webcam") but its not working either...

Any help will be appreciated. I was able to use my Webcam on Windows 10, and on Ubuntu 14.04, before I upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04.

I'll provide any other relevant information, please ask me as needed, and I'll edit it in.
