use of ip command [on hold]

-4

my downloaeded version of kali linux, ip command has replaced ifconfig.

when I type 'ifconfig' or '/sbin/ifconfig' it returns command not found.

I was told to use "ifcofig wlan0 up" to get the wireless connection UP.

nmtui command has shown that the needed wireless connection is connected and recognized by kali linux

However, the Firefox browser still cannot have access to the internet.

May I know how to use 'ip' command to execute the same purpose of 'ifconfig wlan0 up' ?

Thanks

Raymond

  • Possible off-topic question. Kali is not Ubuntu, nor an official flavor of Ubuntu, thus off-topic on this site (please refer to askubuntu.com/help/on-topic). You'll need to ask on a Kali site, or SE's Unix & Linux Q&A site.
