I tried to install a soft on my Ubuntu. But installation was interrupted with
Processing was halted because there were too many errors.
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
The issue appears in any try to install any soft. Stack trace is so long that I cant find beginning. To get more details I tried interrupt process, so most interesting part is below:
$ sudo dpkg --configure -a
Setting up python3 (3.6.7-1~18.04) ...
running python rtupdate hooks for python3.6...
^CTraceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/py3compile", line 290, in <module>
main()
File "/usr/bin/py3compile", line 251, in main
pkg_files = tuple(dpf.from_package(options.package))
File "/usr/share/python3/debpython/files.py", line 51, in from_package
stdout, stderr = process.communicate()
File "/usr/lib/python3.6/subprocess.py", line 830, in communicate
stdout = self.stdout.read()
KeyboardInterrupt
dpkg: error processing package python3 (--configure):
installed python3 package post-installation script subprocess was interrupted
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of update-notifier-common:
update-notifier-common depends on python3:any; however:
Package python3 is not configured yet.
...
gconf2
gconf2
gconf2
Processing was halted because there were too many errors.
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
P.S.
I tried some recommendations to fix the issue, like
sudo dpkg --configure -a
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo apt clean
sudo apt remove
but unsuccessfully.
Is any ideas?
