How do I enable RDP connections for when an account is already logged in?

0

I'm trying to set up a very amateur home server on an old PC, which I've wiped and installed Ubuntu 18.04.

I've gotten VNC working with tigervnc, but a big problem is that it will refuse connections if there's an account already logged in, even if it's "locked out" due to inactivity. Since I need the server to be "active", it will always need to be in a "logged in" state.

So after doing some set up, disconnecting the RDP, I can't RDP in again without rebooting the server PC.

So, what are my options around this problem?
