How to change time from command line without messing up with SSL handshake
I am using Linux in an embedded machine and would like to implement time/date change functionality. I discovered and tried to use timedatectl
, but it caused a couple of problems in my Qt application.
What I do when I want to change time is,
timedatectl set-local-rtc true
timedatectl set-ntp false
timedatectl set-time .....
hwclock --systohc
I can always get back to using Network time with:
timedatectl set-local-rtc false
timedatectl set-ntp true
However, as soon as I set NTP to false, I get SSL handshake errors (i.e. QML Image: SSL handshake failed)
when I try to make a request from an API in my Qt application. This problem occurs at several places. I simply want to be able to turn on/off network time and adjust time on a Linux system. Any ideas how to tackle this issue would be greately appreciated.
