Ethernet not working on Dell WD15 docking station and Latitude 5491 - 16.04
I have a Dell Latitude 5491 connected to a docking station WD15 with dual-boot Windows/Ubuntu.
Ethernet is not working only when it is connected through the docking station and on Ubuntu. It works when the ethernet cable is connected directly to the computer.
It works on Windows (with and without docking station).
Therefore it can not be the cable
My kernel version is: 4.15.0-46-generic
Wifi is working without problems both on ubuntu and windows.
What can be the problem?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Just to confirm... as your question wasn't quite clear... Windows ethernet works with and without the dock. Ubuntu works without the dock, but does not work with the dock... correct? Edit your question with the results of... WITHOUT the doc...ifconfigandsudo lshw -C network, then WITH the dock, repeat the same commands. Report back to @heynnema

@heynnema thanks for the comment. I edited the question. Now it should be clear. However, I don't have the laptop right now and will try tomorrow.
