malformed line error is in my source list shown in my ubuntu 16.10

Even if you fixed the errors made, Ubuntu 16.10 is EOL (end-of-life), it's upgrade path (to 17.04) also dead due to 17.04 also being EOL, so a backup of your data would be in order, then an install of a supported release of Ubuntu. If you use the 'something else' option & select your existing partitions, and don't have the 'format' partition box checked, you could replace your 16.10 with 18.04 LTS (gnome) or the older 16.04 LTS. The LTS or long-term-support releases have 5 years of supported life. 16.04 will have the same interface you already know but a two-year shorter life.
