ubuntu 16.04 with external monitor can only successfully startup after power off

0

It is really very weird, when I startup my laptop, the external monitor will flicker and go black, then I can only do power off. Then I can successfully startup. In short I can only startup successfully once per twice.

I have check the logs in /var/log(boot.log, Xorg.log), looks there is only log for the success boot.

I upgrade the kernel to 4.15, does not work.

This happens only in recent month.
There do have lots of package update in the recent month, most related is the Xorg hwe packages. I remove the hwe related packages(xserver-xorg-core-hwe-16.04 xserver-xorg-input-all-hwe-16.04 linux-generic-hwe-16.04 xserver-xorg-video-all-hwe-16.04), it did not work.
