Error fsyncing/closing/dev/nvme0n1:input/output error

I have a windows tablet machine, the hardisk was encrypted with bitlocker, during an update something went wrong, and I could not even reinstall windows, I used Ubuntu live USB and with dislocker I was able recover some of the data files.
I tried to install ubunutu but first tried to format the disk, the format started but then got the following error message:
Error wiping device: Failed to probe the device 'dev/nvme0n1' (udisks-error-quark,0)
When I try to install Ubuntu, I get the error message in the title, note that before that when I run fdisk -l I used to see /dev/nvme0n1 , but I cannot see it there anymore.
Also I get similar message when running Gparted. It seems the partition table is corrupted, I tried
sudo gdisk /dev/nvme0n1
GPT fdisk (gdisk) version 1.0.3
Warning! Read error 5; strange behavior now likely!
Warning! Read error 5; strange behavior now likely!
Partition table scan:
MBR: not present
BSD: not present
APM: not present
GPT: not present
Used
Command (? for help): v
No problems found. 500118125 free sectors (238.5 GiB) available in 1
segments, the largest of which is 500118125 (238.5 GiB) in size.
