Tried to access the unix domain socket of another instance running as another user

I use this as a thunar custom action.
echo 777 | sudo -S geany %f
It works most of the time, but other times it says
geany tried to access the unix domain socket of another instance running as another user
I looked here, but nothing solves my problem.
sudo geany throws fatal error
