Foxit reader does no longer appear after suspension

I use Foxit reader to edit and view my PDF files. Sometimes I close my laptop lid. When I reopen it I no longer see its window. However, checking running apps using htop confirms that it is actually running. Another thing is that in this situation, when I try to open another PDF file it doesn't open until I kill it from htop.

Searching on the internet it appears that many people have this problem, however no solution since a long time ago !

  • I am not sure Ubuntu devs can fix problems with Foxitreader. It is a closed source application, so if you think there is a bug, file a bug report with the company in charge, and hopefully, they'll fix it.

I won't fix the bug, but if the problem is that window is hidden You can try keyboard shortcuts to make it show.
Try to focus on Foxit window with Alt(hold)+Tab(tap) keyboard shortcut.
Than You can try to maximize it with Windows/Super(hold) + Ctrl(hold) + (tap).

PS.
Last one is up arrow.
