I am a bit of a Linux newbie so would really appreciate some help.

I have server with the following specifictaions:

Intel Xeon-D 1521 - 16GB DDR4 ECC 2133MHz - 4x HDD SATA 6TB Enterprise Class + 1x SSD NVMe 500GB Enterprise Class Soft RAID

I want to use Ubuntu 18.04 and install that on the NVMe drive with the four 6tb drives in a RAID 0 configuration.

I will be setting up multiple desktops for users and will need them to be able to access the 22/24tbs of room through the /home folder.

Installing 18.04 has been no issue and I have had limited success creating the RAID 0 on the four 6tb drives but when i reboot the server i lose the RAID array.

The NVMe is set to boot in EFI mode. The SATA configuration is set to RAID in the servers BIOS.

As i said, bit of a newbie with this, so would appreciate a "dummys" guide (step by step) on how to achieve the desired set up.

A big thanks from a newbie who wants to get better at Linux.
