How to make baloo index .org files

1

I just installed Kubuntu 16.04 on a new laptop with an M2 drive and for the first time ever for me, baloo is working very well.

However, it never returns matches from any of my .org files (plain-text files with org-mode formatting).

Looking at ~/.config/baloofilerc, there is no mention to exclude .org files, and baloo finds matches in other plain-text files (.tex, for example).

Is there any way to force include a certain file extension or file type?

  • Where are these .org files located? Baloo will not index files and folders within dot folders such as ~/.config, and ~/.local..
