Grub not installing
When i try to install grub through terminal i get this error sudo grub-install /dev/sda--> installing for i386-pc platform
can someone please help!

/cow is copy on write. Or you are trying to install grub to your DVD/flash drive which is not writeable. You need to install to drive that is your install. Some systems promote installer to sda, so your install may be sdb or NVMe drive? May be best to see details, use ppa version with your live installer or any working install, not older Boot-Repair ISO: Please copy & paste link to the Boot-info summary report ( do not post report), the auto fix sometimes can create more issues. help.ubuntu.com/community/Boot-Repair
