Is the problem that my laptop is 32-bit and this software is 64-bit? Should I change the server to a different country? (How would I do that?)

I suspect the answer is that there is no 32-bit version available, that snap automatically takes into account my processor type, and hence there are no installation files in the 32-bit channel.

At the official Brave web browser download website it says that Brave web browser for Linux is only available for 64-bit architecture operating systems, so there is no 32-bit version available for your operating system. For 64-bit architecture OSs the command to install the brave snap package is:

          sudo snap install brave

Brave is fast, lightweight, and includes advanced ad tracker blocking controls. Brave includes HTTPS Everywhere integration, blocks cookie capture, script blocking is built-in, and features a decent ad blocker.

Brave browser blocks a lot of pop-up windows that can make browsing a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Most of the time this is a good thing unless you are visiting a website that serves some of its content as links that when clicked open up overlay pop-up windows on the same page. Brave browser will sometimes not open these pop-up windows even when the link is clicked. If you want to see the pop-up window you need to open the same webpage in another web browser.

          • I would say it's implied (since it only lists x64 and 64-bit) but not clearly stated.

Question: Is using snap the best way to install Brave on Ubuntu?

I had update problems after following that approach.
I uninstalled the snap version because of the recommendation here:

          https://snapcraft.io/brave

The approach recommended on the snapcraft.io page is here:

Question: Is using snap the best way to install Brave on Ubuntu?

I had update problems after following that approach.
I uninstalled the snap version because of the recommendation here:

            https://snapcraft.io/brave

The approach recommended on the snapcraft.io page is here:
