multi-head display issues after 16->18 upgrade: window placement not saved across screen lock

0

After upgrading from ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04, my 3-headed display has been glitchy in a number of ways. For instance, window placement:

After the screen has been locked (manually or timed/auto) and I unlock it, I notice that my windows have moved... the most reliable/repeatable behavior being this:

Windows are all "left-justified" as it were, and resized relative to my left-most display, which has a more square aspect ratio than my center and right displays, which have wide aspect ratios. For instance, if a window was centered on my center display, and taking up 90% of its width, it is now centered on my left display, having been squeezed vertically so that it only takes up 90% of that display.

Any thoughts on where I should begin?
