running XAMPP Files not working and does not start

Hi there I recently had a problem with my mac OS and half my files were backed up my files and including my applications. my mac has now been updated to MacOs Mojave. when i opened my xampp and started to run it, this appears all the time...
cannot calculate MAC address: Failed to set up pidfile
pidfile error -1
I'm not sure what to do next because I just want my files back from the htdocs saved in xamp and the SQL work :(
soon as i click on XAMPP it says "cannot load stack definitions", does this mean I lost my php files because Im trying so hard to recover it and I'm not sure what to do next otherwise start over please help me
