As UFW is not able to stop ICMP pings and too "easy", I took it off.
I went to the GUI software package manager and install FirewallD, its applet and the GUI. But then I noticed that although this is April 2019, I only got version 045. The FirewallD website has 063 in tar GZ.
If I were to manually install this later version on the command line, would the package be intelligent enough to discover the old one, or would I end up having a gigantic problem?
In summary how would I upgrade without causing problems?
I do not know why the GUI software package gave an old version, in the first instance?
Sorry, I am new in Linux.
