How can i connect the ubuntu installer to XfinityWifi (Public nettwork)

0

SO i am currently installing Ubuntu 16.04 on my mac book 2006 dual side. i successfully burned a copy of the mini iso to a cd rom. The only thing is i do not have access to any other wifi right now except for XfinityWifi, public network. The installer refuses to continue with the installation without me configuring the network 1st. so was curious to see if there is a way around this to connect to xfinitywifi obviously without the login page appearing. Thanks.

  • "connect to xfinitywifi obviously without the login page appearing". Is this a request to bypass XfinityWifi's login page or Ubuntu's login page?

  • The mini ISO may be not what you want, as it is not UEFI. Is this one of the systems that uses the 32 bit UEFI, standard Ubuntu installer is 64 bit for UEFI? If so you need to add the 32 bit UEFI boot file to make it work. And does it have a very old nVidia card?
