Failure to install - internet not seen …0
U18.04 no internet on live USB disk
U16.04 internet on live USB disk, but not on installation
U14.04 won't run live disk from USB perhaps because U16 is installed? My UEFI changes to cruzer cannot get past Grub ...
Win10-virus doing a 5 day update so no access to notebook from that end ...
Problem may be with my mastery of UEFI which amounts to Nil.
I can now boot into U16, internet components included, but have no internet - my router is not in range (2 metres away!) I cannot see any networks not even the neighbours'!
U18 gave me the option of two networks which didn't work, both of them mine (OrangeLivebox and Orange) again, not the neighbours' networks.
This happens to me every time ... yet I never learn from it!

Don't rush to respond, Win10 has already taken 18 hours for this update ... it doesn't take that long for a clean install!
Just tried Internet worked during install, but not after but that only worked for about 20 minutes ... and now works again ... and now doesn't ... both of my networks are visible and sometimes login, sometimes for whole minutes at a time.
I was unable to complete an apt-get update, after several attempts. Thanks for any suggestions.
