how do I install gnash (or play swf files) on ubuntu 18.10?

0

I have swf files on my computer, and I want to run them. Formerly, I would use gnash, and everything was fine. That was in 18.04, where apt-get install gnash worked. On 18.10. apt-cache search gnash doesnt find anything. and apt-get install gnash doesnt work. ok ok. Ill install from source. but I cant get the source to compile it keeps throwing errors about missing libgstreamer libraries, which also do not show up when I search for them, or that the package that claims to provide the library doesnt actualy seem to contain what I need. such is the case with gst.

...
CXX libgnashmedia_la-AudioDecoderGst.lo
In file included from gst/AudioDecoderGst.cpp:20:
gst/AudioDecoderGst.h:27:10: fatal error: gst/gst.h: No such file or directory
#include <gst/gst.h>
...

I have installed libgstreamer-1.0-dev but the problem persists. I have installed other gstreamer libraries, the problem persists.

what can i use to play swf files? or:
where can I get a working version of gnash for 18.10 ubuntu?
