how to fix malformed lines in linux mint 19 cinnaman? [on hold]

when I try to get update I get this message "could not refresh the list of update malformed line 1 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list (type), malformed entry 2 in list file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave.list (component), the list of sources could not be read.
