I got a problem. By a accident someone changed C: to T: I have tried every trick in the windows book, to change it back by so far, no luck. Then I saw that it was possible to install and run linux installment from a usb stick, but im a total noob when it comes to linux. So I need some help and advise. Its an old Win XP based laptop, that have a specific purpose, so I cant just throw it out. So is it at all duable?

/Regards Henrik

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:

  • "This is not about Ubuntu. Questions about other Linux distributions can be asked on Unix & Linux, those about Windows on Super User, those about Apple products on Ask Different and generic programming questions on Stack Overflow." – Rinzwind, Florian Diesch, waltinator, karel, Eric Carvalho

If this question can be reworded to fit the rules in the help center, please edit the question.

  • No. Windows problems need to be fixed from within windows. See support.microsoft.com/nl-nl/help/223188/… You can do this with a windows prompt/rescue dvd or usb. And I would ask this on superuser.com for a method within Windows XP itself.
