If I restart with the switch button, and after them I recover the Libreoffice files and I store this, and I restart the pc a short time will function. But if I work with many opened windows in Firefox, Libreoffice, than frozen again, and again.
Slowly I will be crazy.
At the restart of PC appear a purple screen with menu but I can not select anything. After 10 seconds purple screen start the PC.
ctrl-alt-F1 do not function.
the numbers at right on my keyboard do not function.
Sombody can help?

Perhaps a BIOS setting? On my 18.04 box on restart the NumLock key needs to be pressed for the keypad to become active.

  • Graham, thank you for your help. I will try tomorrow. The unstability was caused from GoogleChrome, and later from Opera Stable. Only with Firefox no more frozen problems. But the question why the ctrl-alt-F1 do not function, and the Numbers right on the keyboard why do not function remains. Can somebody answer?
