Custom keyboard shortcuts require logout
I'm on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS with unity, and I experience this weird behaviour:
If I create or update a custom keyboard shortcut in the Settings > Keyboard application, then the new/updated shortcut is unavailable until after I logout and then log back in.
Does anyone else experience this? How can I force the system to load my keyboard shortcuts without logging out and in?

Not sure it it is standard on Unity, but just confirming that it is not standard on both gnome and xfce4 desktops.
