I am undergoing severe experiences.

When I boot my laptop (Dell xps-15-9560, Ubuntu 18.04.02, 4.18.0-17-generic) the screen is not booting properly. I get these messages repeatedly.

pcieport 0000:00:1c:0: PCIe Bus Error: severity=Corrected, type=Data Link Layer, (Transmitter ID)
pcieport 0000:00:1c:0: device [8086:a110] error status/mask=00001000/00002000
pcieport 0000:00:1c:0: [12] Replay Timer Timeout

Here is the result of lspci -nn.

I have tried to fix /etc/boot/grub according to solutions proposed by others:

/etc/default/grub
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash pci=nomsi pci=nommconf pci=noear"
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="text pci=nomsi pci=nommconf pci=noear"

But it doesn't work and I don't exactly know what these parameters are doing.

Please, how can I fix this situation?

I've already reinstalled Ubuntu 1 week ago due to the same issue and it crashed only within a week.

This is really driving me nuts!!

Thanks
