Icon image for MATLAB from my Desktop launcher suddenly disappeared
When I created Desktop Shortcut first, the icon has MATLAB image.

But now from desktop that image suddenly gone.

What have I done wrong?
The matlab.desktop file is executable. MATLAB opens & the MATLAB logo shown in the dock, there is no icon in desktop as it was before. I tried rebooting 2/3 times.
The icons of sidebar are ok. But when I copied a .desktop file from /usr/share/application, it is working but icons for the related applications
are not appearing.

Did you move the icon, or change its name? Check your .desktop file for where it's looking for its icon. Does double-clicking on the .desktop file still launch the app? Do you have more than one .desktop file?
