Simulate pressing a keyboard shortcut on startup

0

I'm wondering how I can have the terminal simulate pressing a keystroke (like Ctrl+H) through a predetermined script (like an SH file). I already know I can run the script from gnome-session-properties after chmodding the file with chmod +x <path_to_script>. I just need to know how to accomplish simulating the keystroke.

Thanks~!
